Robot vacuums and mops are becoming more efficient, passing our tests of cleaning and tackling various floor types. Select models that allow you to select between a variety of modes, self-empty and clean stairs.

Many of the top models work with your smartphone. Look for an application that lets you save schedules, maps and select cleaning modes.

1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro

Eufy's gunmetal-and-gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuum and mop combos available on the market. It makes use of lidar to navigate, creating maps of floors and rooms.

When I tested the S1, it was quick to locate our downstairs, which is home to linoleum flooring in the kitchen-diner and bathrooms, along with carpeting of medium-pile as well as a large area rug. It easily drove close to walls without hitting them, and was able to cross raised room thresholds with no issue, though it occasionally was unable to navigate down stairs in a single step. The S1 performed admirably in cleaning hard floors. The mop sped along on its flat side and lifted itself when it came to carpets or carpets.

After every mopping session, the docking station on the S1 automatically emptys its dust bin and fills up its water tank onboard with clean filtered ozonated water. 2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete

Ecovacs All-in-one robotic vacuum and mop provides a powerful solution for your cleaning requirements. The robot vacuum has 8700Pa suction power, and comes with many innovative features including voice control and smart path scheduling that cleans furniture and eliminates obstacles. Its mopping ability is impressive. Rotating mops actually lift the floor and scrub it, rather than simply moving a pad across the surface. The mops are cleaned and dried in the base station as required.

This robot combo has an easy interface that guides you throughout the process. It includes a rechargeable hand vacuum for those areas that the robot can't reach as well as two water tanks that are automatically empty and refilled as needed. 3. Dreame X40 ultra

Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop was launched earlier this year. But their latest flagship model comes with even more impressive features. It has outstanding cleaning performance and hands-free maintenance making it a top contender for our best mop and vacuum robots. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition and a long side brush ensure a thorough, custom-designed clean.

The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, picking up fine and large debris from hard floors as well as carpets. It also cleaned the dirtiest areas well, eliminating pet hairs that are tangled and other mess. The sweeping power is enhanced by an additional side brush that automatically swings out to tackle hard-to-reach corners, as well as an extended mop pad that deploys alongside baseboards.

This is especially true for dust that accumulates in corners, on shelves, and in crevices in your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro, a 2-in-1 robot that vacuums and mop, is designed to do exactly that. It's simple to connect to your Wi-Fi at home network and works with Alexa and Apple Siri, making it an even more practical addition to your routine of cleaning.

The Q5 is a stripped-down version of the more expensive S-series models from the company, including the flagship Roborock S8 maxV ultra. It has the same LIDAR mapping sensors, however it is cheaper because it doesn't have mopping capabilities and comes with plastic body.

Despite losing the ability to mop floors, the Q5 has some of the best vacuum and mopping performance we've seen from a robotic at this price. It has a smart app which allows you to schedule cleaning and choose the floor type. It also comes with an automatic water tank filling and washing system that is hands-free.

Its mops are also impressive with its 2700Pa power to combat pet hair and dirt on carpets as well as hard flooring. The Q5 was among the few robots we tested to not have problems with high-pile carpets and rugs. However, it was able to not pick up kitty-litter or cable tangles. This isn't too surprising, since it does NOT contain AI-powered obstacle avoidance.

5. K10 Plus
